Video: MiresBall analyzes Super Bowl ads for Fox 5
Making the Most of a $3 million Ad
The Super Bowl is not just the biggest event in professional football, it has become the biggest event in the advertising community. With a 30 second ad during Super Bowl XLV priced at $3 million, companies making that investment have much at stake.
But how do we judge whether an ad successfully connected with its intended audience and built brand equity or not? According to Rachel Kerestes, Strategy Director at MiresBall, the best ads stay true to their brands and make an emotional connection. This year’s Super Bowl ad winners included companies whose messages were authentic, credible and struck a chord, while losers went off message and in a few cases managed to alienate their customer base.
