Grateful Dead ‘fare thee well’ playbill ad

Shure partnered with MiresBall to develop a creative concept commemorating the Grateful Dead’s 50th anniversary, and their corresponding Fare Thee Well reunion concerts.

John Ball, partner and creative director, collaborated with Pete Herr, sr. manager, pro/systems marketing communications at Shure, to create an ad for the playbill for the three-date run (July 3-5, 2015) at Chicago’s Soldier Field.

The ad features a well-worn SM58 microphone and leverages the Dead’s “steal your face” motif to honor the connection between the industry’s most iconic audio brand, and one of the most legendary bands of our time.
