A digital facelift puts the focus on experience for the millennial-geared site.
Life’s cool. It’s a fitting expression for PACIFIC San Diego Magazine. And MiresBall created a digital experience that places that sentiment front and center, and offers optimized, on-the-go access to all of San Diego’s best art, culture, dining and entertainment.
At the project’s outset, we considered our options: Should the website duplicate stories and other content from the print magazine? Or should it provide daily listings and updates that the print version can’t? Deciding it should do both, we crafted a new site that dynamically delivers the best of PACIFIC’s magazine along with an up-to-the-minute events calendar for desktop, tablet and mobile.
Larger headlines and fonts increased legibility, and an instantly gratifying interface with lots of space for local photography put the user experience first. The redesign also activated robust advertising opportunities.
