How can design support a multifaceted artistic vision?
In conjunction with a career-spanning solo exhibition, multimedia artist David Adey needed a catalog to document his wide-ranging output. With a thoughtfully articulated design, the diversity of Adey’s work became a virtue.
Reflecting the conceptual range of the artist’s practice, the title treatment combines 12 unique typefaces—each one representing a different work.
The catalog’s introductory essay highlights each work with its assigned font.
Page layouts create dramatic pacing, while showcasing the scale and detail of the work.
